INTRODUCING OUR PATENT PENDING

INTEGRALLY THREADED CARBON BOTTOM BRACKET

Through a complex laminating and molding procedure we have been able to produce molded carbon fiber threads into our bottom brackets.

Proprietary
frame and fork

We designed the Surveyor frame to pair perfectly with the Surveyor All-road fork. Not only do they look great together, speaking the same design language, but they are tuned to complement each other's ride characteristics too. They both have the perfect amount of stiffness when you need it with the right vibration dampening too. Their geometry was designed in unison too, so the handling is refined and elegant on or off paved roads.

Perfectly
LIght & Stiff

With a frame weight of ~900g for our size 55, the Surveyor is among the lightest all-road bikes. There are no unnecessary pieces anywhere in the construction, as every layer of unidirectional carbon is where it should be, and there are hundreds of them. Our engineers ,composites experts and riders explored lay-up after lay-up to be sure they had landed on the best recipe possible - this is at the soul of the Surveyor.

Fully Concealed
Internal cable routing

You wouldnt want to drive a car with brake lines and electronic wires hanging out in the wind would you? So why acept it on your bike? We chose a non-proprietary system for our routing meaning you have your pick of industry standard cockpits. From bar to stem to frame, your hoses and wires are concealed making for a faster, cleaner, and safer ride.

BRIDGE BIKE WORKS

ALL-ROAD INTEGRATED FORK

It’s one of the only carbon forks made in North America by some of the best in the industry. We believe a modern all-road fork needs to be stiff enough to handle the heaviest sprint, compliant enough to cruise through a rock garden, and engineered to a standard beyond others to keep weight low and durability high.

Clearance for 40c tires

Modern testing techniques have proven that larger tires are more comfortable, safer and faster than their smaller, harder ancestors. We wanted to make sure Surveyor was truly "all-road" and designed it to accept up to 40c tires. Our narrow chainstays do the heavy lifting while maintaining a classic silhouette without needing to be offset or dropped.

Round Seatpost

Little known fact: Seatpost deflection does more for comfort while riding than tire size and pressure combined. Surveyor was designed with a sloping top-tube so it would have more seatpost exposed, and in turn, provide more vertical compliance. We then spec every Surveyor with a carbon seatpost, for ultimate comfort.

Threaded bottom bracket

Traditionally, bottom brackets were threaded into the frame. The industry momentarily switched to press-fit, where frames relied on friction and pressure to stay engaged and creak free. Now, the T47 threaded bottom bracket has taken the best of both these and has become the preferred choice for bike manufaturers big and small.

Unique

All-Road Race Geometry

Geometry designed for all-roads with lower BB drop and sloping top tube. We designed Surveyor to also have the perfect chainstay length, 417mm. All these combine to create a capable, confident ride that is also fast on the road.

FRAME: BRIDGE Surveyor
FORK: BRIDGE All-road Integrated
HEADSET: FSA No.69 SRS
REAR DEAILLEUR HANGER: SRAM UDH
FRONT DERAILLEUR MOUNT: Clamp on
SEAT POST CLAMP: BRIDGE Bike Works
CHAINSTAY PROTECTOR: Clear Adhesive

COMFORTABLE

It’s (almost) all about the seat-tube! We started with a sloped top tube (8-10 degrees) which allows for more seatpost exposure and thus more compliance. After much engineering and analysis we chose to use a round seat-tube for a 27.2 seatpost: it is lighter, more durable, but more than anything, it is MORE COMFORTABLE.

AERO

Why be slower if you don’t have to? We don’t give up comfort for our aerodynamics, especially since frontal aero is the key.

  • Fully internal cable routing
  • Wider fork stance for aerodynamics with bigger tires
  • D shaped downtube
  • Proprietary fork for ideal fork-to-frame transition
  • Stack and reach within 5% of most race bikes

STIFF

The downtube is around 60mm in diameter, creating monstrous power transfer. Up front, the proprietary fork with tapered steerer was designed to rail without beating you up. Plus, there are near limitless cockpit combinations that you can choose based on your preferences.

LIGHT

At ~900 grams (no fork or paint) it is close to best in class for the all-road category. Because the Surveyor is handmade to incredibly high standards and quality controlled at every step - achieving light weights without sacrificing durability is a reality.

VERSATILE

BIG. TIRES. RULE. We promise. For most riding, from neglected Canadian roads to light gravel and dirt, a 30-35 mm tire is pretty much perfect. So we kept it simple, we designed a race bike that will take massive tires. Up to 40 mm... officially. Wink.

CAN I CUSTOMIZE THE SPEC OR BUILD OF MY BIKE?
We don’t offer full customization, but we do offer upgrades and add-ons. If you want a specific build or special componentry we recommend getting a frameset and having one of our dealers build it up. Feel free to contact us, and we can facilitate a connection with a dealer.

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM GEOMETRY?
Not at this time. However we find that our geometry will fit most riders and can often be fine tuned with a different sized stem, handlebar and seatpost.

WHAT IS THE WIDEST TIRE I CAN FIT ON A SURVEYOR?
We have tested up to 40c treaded tires with no frame or fork interference. You might be able to fit wider, depending on your tire brand and rim width, or you might find that for very muddy courses a 38c tire might be better for clearance.

WHAT TYPE OF BOTTOM BRACKETS DOES SURVEYOR USE?
We designed Surveyor to use a T47-86 Threaded bottom bracket. These are a standard in the industry and are compatible with all brands of cranksets.

WHAT TYPE OF HEADSET DOES SURVEYOR USE?
Our frame and fork use a 52mm (1.5”) bearing top and bottom to allow for internally run cables. The fork steerer is a tapered 1-1/8” - 1-1/2”.

IS THERE AN OWNERS MANUAL FOR SURVEYOR?
Yes, here.

WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
There is a lifetime warranty on the frame and fork against manufacturing defects, as well as a crash replacement discount. Full details here.

I'M THE SECOND OWNER OF MY BIKE. DO I HAVE A WARRANTY?
The lifetime warranty is only offered to the original owner of the bike. However, if you have any issues with the frame or fork, please contact us and we will be happy to help you out. Full warranty details here.

WHERE ARE BRIDGE BIKES MADE?
We manufacture the frame and fork in our facility in Toronto, Canada. More about that here.

CAN I GET CUSTOM PAINT?
We offer custom paint colours, Learn more here. We do not offer full custom paint, but you can work with one of our approved Ready-To-Paint partners to have custom work done. Learn more here.

WHERE IS THE SERIAL NUMBER ON MY BIKE?
Your serial number is adhered on the underside of your bottom bracket.

DO THE HOSES AND WIRES NEED TO BE RUN INTERNALLY?
Yes, Surveyor is designed to only have them run internally from the headset back. You can run them fully internal through the bar and stem, or externally from the shifters using a top-cap entry method, but all cables or wires will be internal from the headtube back.

WHAT DRIVETRAIN WORKS BEST ON SURVEYOR?
You can use either 1x or 2x drivetrains. If running 1x, remove the front derailleur clamp.

CAN SURVEYOR BE BUILT WITH MECHANICAL GEARS AND BRAKES?
Yes, you can use mechanical 1x from any brand or 2x gearing, as long as it’s Shimano. SRAM and Campagnolo use a different front derailleur setup, so those can only be 1x systems.

CAN SURVEYOR BE USED AS A GRAVEL BIKE?
Yes. We have tested Surveyor on all types of terrain, from smooth paved roads to off-road single track.

DO I NEED ANY SPECIAL TOOLS TO ASSEMBLY SURVEYOR?
There are no proprietary tools that you need to assemble a complete Surveyor or a frameset. Everything is standard to the cycling industry. Most parts use basic allen keys for installation or adjustment. A good torque wrench is a must to ensure proper specs are met, for the safety of the rider and bike. Check out the owners manual for helpful tips. We recommend connecting with a professional mechanic to ensure your bike is assembled safely.

WHERE DOES BRIDGE SHIP?
We ship complete bikes and frame sets globally.
