A day that starts with a ride around country roads and ends with a cycling expo is a great day.
Our racers are tapering/resting for the big ride on Saturday, so only needed a short and easy one today. To be able to roll out of our AirBnB and be right into fun terrain is such a treat. We don't have to weave through traffic for 30 minutes trying to get to open roads (like we often do at home). There are endless options right at our door (long dirt driveway actually).
Riding our show bikes in the morning means cleaning them before loading back into the trailer and heading to the Unbound Gravel Expo. In a stroke of genius, Jason had brought his pressure washer, so that made quick work of our dust covered Surveyors.
Gladly we had set up most of our tent the day before, so all we had to do was put the bikes on their display stands, and voila. It is so nice to be around the energy of an expo, you can see that everyone is excited. There is a happy tone coming from everywhere. And we get to talk BRIDGE all day. Thank you to all the racers (and support crews) that came by. The response to our Canadian made bikes is incredible, and further lets us know that we are doing something new and interesting (and much needed in our industry).
We are there again for the second day. If you are in the area, come on by and check out the bikes, talk gravel, and maybe pick up some merch.
